MOLLY

Molly is a Great Pyrenees . The breed type is named for the Pyrenees mountains between France and Spain. These dogs are in the same line as the Saint Bernard and Newfoundland and are working dogs. They were originally bred for herding but they are an ancient breed and today are used for all kinds of work. She can pull, heel, help me stand, and carry stuff at Walmart. Assistance dogs such as guide dogs, signal dogs, and service dogs all fall within the category of ADA regulations............

 MOLLY & ME

However, most of all she is my friend. Our first day together was Tuesday 28 May 2002 and after the first day I was wondering if we could make it. I consider her a gift from my wife for an anniversary present. I have another wonderful dog at home named Bonnie who stays at the house in Omak, who is dedicated to our family and I love her also. "Why do I need a long hair slobbering dog?" I asked. Then the next morning, waking up all alone like usual, Molly woke me up, and looked at me as if to say "I love you no matter what you think of me, and I need to go outside now, so please get up." And in just a moment of time, like a flash, I saw something of life reflected to me that went well beyond the limits of my "Schopenhauerian will" here was an animal who struggled for me and just simply loved me. And although my wife loves me like this, she is no animal, and thus she is capable of human love....but Molly was an animal and loved me for my humanness. I am still reconciling this construct which is something metaphysical in the sense that we both struggle in life; and daily she maintains a will to go on. And so, although a gift from my wife, in turn Molly is a blessing from God.

For you Molly......
